Day twenty-five~ What's in your purse?

When I don't have babies this is a loaded question, but since I still have two littles around I have to purse just a wallet and a phone, keys and chapstick that float from the diaper bag to another purse if I am kidless.
Day Twenty Four-A photo of something that means a lot to me

My family (the one I made, the one I was born into, and the one I married into) mean everything to me. They are always there for me and make me better and who I am. They're my everything. The church is also pretty dang important to me.

Day Twenty Two-A Letter to someone who has hurt you lately
Dear fat… that’s right I’m addressing you. I personally think you suck and wish that super cute babies didn’t help create an endless supply of you on my body. One day-in the near future- you wont exist, then we will see who’s winning.
Day Twenty One-A photo of something that makes you happy

This Family I have made for myself makes me super happy. I'm one lucky girl :)
Day Twenty – The meaning behind your blog name
Um… that’s our name, nothing fun or fancy. Sorry to be lame.
Day nineteen- A photo of yourself

Who takes pictures by themselves. Ok lots of people, I probably have one somewhere but not anywhere I can see so I figured these two cute girls kind of look like me so it's ok if they're included. :)

Day Eighteen- Something you crave, a lot!

I'm a crazy craver, I always have something I want badly enough that it shows up in my dreams :) Right now I want a Village Baker Sandwich, yum. Usually I want chocolate of some sort. I usually should be attached to some sort of IV with chocolate in it so I stay calm and nice :)
Day Seventeen- A picture of you and your family

Day sixteen~ Your celebrity crush.

I'm not sure if I have a celebrity crush. I sure enjoy watching how pretty they are, but I like those charaters you just fall in love with. I guess my favorite person to look at these days would be Paul Wesley. Gotta love Vampire Diaries :)

Day fifteen~ Something you don't leave the house without.

My phone

And usually a kid (or two)
Day fourteen~ A TV show that you are currently addicted to.

I spend an unhealthy ammount of time watching tv, yup you can judge me. I love different world they take me too and the way they help me unwind from my maddness at the end of the day. On Sunday my DVR records all my crazy E reality shows (Hollys World, Kim and Kourtney, Khloe and Lamar... you get the idea) and Brothers and Sister and Army Wives. Monday records The secret Life of the American Teenager (which drives me crazy but I can't seem to not watch it.) Dancing with the Stars, 90210 and Gossip Girl. Tuesday records One Tree Hill, Body of Proof, sToribook Weddings and Glee. Wednesday records American Idol (or so you think you can dance depending on the season) Better with you and more I'm sure. Thursday is Greys Antaomy, Private Practice and Vampire Diaries. That's about it right now I think. There are all the off season shows too, like I said too much tv. But it's nice at any hour I have something recorded to watch, it's a fabulous way to escape reality :)

Day thirteen~ Your favorite musician and why?

I have a lot of favorite musician from a lot of different areas but if you haven't noticed, or met me, I'm a little obbsessed with American Idol. There a lot of reason but I love how much these people feel like they could be you, and they are the next big thing. I cried when Kelly won, boycotted when Clay lost and I just can't get enough.
Day twelve~ A photograph of the town you live in.

Sorry I'm a day late... yesterday we were busy coming home from the hospital woot!!

My two little men

People always ask me if Berkelee and McKinlee look a like (which I totally think they do.)But the more pictures I see of Andrew from back in the day the more Eric reminds me of him. I think for having diferent mamas they have a lot of similarities. :)

Andrew on his 2nd Birthday

Me and Eric on his 2nd Birthday (and my 27 cause I'm old

Erics Hospital Adventure

So we are still hanging out a Primary Childrens Hospital, it's like a party in a can (cause our little room is like a can and we are having so much fun :) Wiggles, Barney, Mickey... Bubbles, coloring, reading, blocks and all the chocolate milk a little guy could dream of so how could that not be fun :)He is still a big ball of mystery but here is the hypothosis so far... Eric has EBV aka mono (the same one Berkelee had in November-that girl needs to keep her germs to herself drink stealer) so his immune system is super weak. So he has also tested positive for CMV, adenovirus and atypical pneumonia (which they say Berkelee needs to be tested for tomorrow cause she still has a cough and it's crazy contagious-like I said she's a germ sharer-toys not so much but germs you bet) So they are thinking that the mono made his immune system super weak making it easy to get anything and everything therefore he got a couple somethings and that made his lips contract a form of Stevens Johnson (just a mild case in his eyes and a pretty agressive one in his lips, it also affects his mucus membranes so his sinus are pretty swollen resulting in a lot of snoring) So from all his bodies new friends he is poor little immune system is working over time therefore he has had a crazy high fever for 20 days now and has some elevated white blood cells and other gunk coming back in his labs. So unless he gets anymore positives today they are going to treat the atypical pneumonia and hopefully send us home if his bowels get a little happier and his lips say on the happier side. It's been a long few weeks at the Baker house so I am hoping this answer is right and we are on our way up. :)
Day 11-Whats in your make up bag

Pretty much everything. Since I'm not at home you don't have to see it (lucky) but it's pretty intense. I have my main make up bag which has bare minerals foundation set-which I love but sometimes I am to lazy or don't have time so I also have some mary kay foundation. I have a few brushes-the bare mineral brushes some marabella brushes and then some that come from my drocery store purchase. I have a few eye shadows (7 or 8- cause I'm never really happy with what I have) 4 or 5 mascaras cause I can't find what I'm looking for. Some lip gloss and blush and eye liners. It's just a big mess. I am glad you don't have to see it. I also have a box I stick the left overs in :)

Day ten~ A photo of your favorite place to eat.

I have a few favorites. A few fabulous friends of mine have a staple in our relationship. It's Village inn, pretty much every event in our lives (engagements, babies, fights, missing each other) results in a trip to Village Inn. IT all started cause Sara was a hostess there and the tradition just never faded.

Next is Red Robin, every birthday I can remember included a trip to Red Robin. I love it and the memories that come with it.

Finally I am obsessed with Village baker (I know people from my school had a bad experience but I can't seem to get over it) They make my heart happy with their turkey breast and provolone. (we joked about naming Eric Village so I could have my own Village Baker-ha I'm funny) Oh and their cookies and cinnamon rolls are to die for. :) I am so hungry now.
Oh and my other favorite sandwich the tasty turkey from Einstein Bagels is amazing... so so yummy!!

Eric

For those of you who haven't heard, our little guy is back in the hospital. (sigh) Yesterday I took him back to the pediatrician because I thought he was getting a sinus infection (on top of everything else) cause if he coughed he would just hold his head and cry. So we ventured in planning on some antibiotcis (cause he really is a million times better then when they sent us home last week) Well we walk in and they chat with us for a second look at Eric and call in another Dr. They started chatting with each other and throwing out Primarys, Cardiology, diseases all sorts of scary words and send us back up to the hospital. At this point I am so confused... sure he still has a fever but his lips look a hundred time better, he's hardly coughing. I get to the hospital and was kindly greeted with "whats wrong with his mouth" (really nurse lady think about it a mom walks in with her sickly child and thats the first word you want to say to her.) They tried to ask me why I was there and I told her I had no idead except they said I had too. Well here we are 24 hours later and we've had drew blood, taken urine samples, done an Echocardiogram, been seen by dermatology and optomology and they're talking about infectious disease. Seriously I am dumbfounded because he is a thousand times better then last time and all they did was stick a qtip up his nose. (and they repeated that test this time too) I am grateful they are more interested this time but honestly I'm so confused. So here is where we are at... he has had a fever for 18 days (apparently this is never normal/ok) so that combined with his lips (which kind of just look like raw hamburger meat at this point) are keeping us here at least through the weekend. They have ruled out Kawaski's disease, but he has tested positive for Adenovirus, but since we tested negative for it last week and his lips got bad before we came to the hospital the first time they can't place the blame on it. They want his lips to be herpies... they are actually treating him for that right now but the first test was negative, because that way the lips are something on there own and doesn't have to be caused by something. His lips look like they are something called Stevens Johnsons Syndrome but that is the only symptom he has except irrated eyes and the fever so they can't call it that just yet. So they are illiminating things one by one and one day we will know whats wrong, but for now we are hospital bound.
Day Nine-A picture of your last purchase

Yesterday I ventured out with my sicky to buy more diapers. Hopefully no one was contaminated in the prosess

Day Eight- A song to match your mood

I love this song,I know it makes me super nerdy but me and Berkelee run around the house singing it all the time, jumping on the bed not giving a care to the world. It's a super happy song and I like being super happy

Day seven~ Your dream wedding.

Did you ever watch Family Matters? Remember when Laura and Stefan went to Disney World and she rode in Cinderellas cariage and he purposed with the glass slipper? That was always my dream. (They even make Disney wedding dresses now.) When I was little I became obbsessed with the San Diego Temple because it looked like a princess castle and so that factored into my dream wedding since I'm a churchy girl. But none of these things happened and I still loved my wedding. But this was my dream.

Day six~ A photo of an animal you would like to keep as a pet.

I'm not really a pet person but I sure love Monkeys. I think they just look like they're always having fun, and who doesn't love a good time :)

Day five~ A photo of yourself two years ago.

This picture is from Berkelee were going on a mommy, daughter date to see Beauty and the Beast at Murray Park. It was such a blast, she still asks when we can go back and see it again

Day four~ Your favorite photograph of your best friend.

I have been super blessed in my life to have so fabulous best friends. I have some fun ones from high school but since I'm behind the times I don't have them on the computer. But my favorite picture of Brandon is one from right after Berkelee was born. I think its just darling they way he lights up with Berkelee, and Berkelee is quickly turning into one of my best friends. Its fun that as my kids grow up I see them in so many different lights :)

Day three~ Your idea of the perfect first date.

I hate first dates, really who doesn't. But I think my idea of the perfect date would be something where you really get a chance to know each other. Brandon and I had our first date at Carls Jr. I (being the fabulously clueless girl that I am had no idea it was a date so it was perfect-no added awkwardness) we went on our lunch break-cause we met at work- and it was perfect. We just chatted and got to know each other so I guess that means my idea of a perfect first date involves fast food and a super cute boy I know :)

Day Two

Day two~ A photo of something you ate today.

I was on the Crazy Diet but since I spent two days in the Hopsital with Eric that had to get put on the back burner so I grabbed the first thing I saw so I could take some medicine for my foot.

Then we went to get Berkelee from school and now Eric is sleeping and we are getting ready for lunch and Kinlees nap time. Good times, life is super exciting in our neck of the world.

Our Long Week

If you are my friend on facebook, you have some idea how eventful this week has been at the Baker house. I just thought I would write it down for those who didn't catch it. Two weeks ago (tomorrow) I had a friend tell me about alumni guard. If we weren't friends in high school I did color guard (the flags, guns and sword in parades and at football games) it was a big part of my life and I adored it so I jumped at the chance to do it again. I went to the practice thursday and aside from being a bit overwhelmed (it has been 9 years since I touched my equipment) I loved it. So the next tuesday (a week ago, yesterday) was our next practicing and as I was standing there watching the coreography trying to pick up the steps I rolled my foot. I was instantly in a world of pain... the whole world sounded like it had suddenly been transported under water and I wanted to throw up. Now knowing myself I thought I would feel better in no time (I'm kind of a pansy) but after trying to walk it off I called Brandon to come get me and take me to the dr. Now Brandon knowing me pretty well is well aware of my pansy status and said I should go to bed and see if I felt better in the morning so come morning time I was still in a lot of pain so he dropped me off at the instacare and took the kids to school. Well much to my suprise the bone bellow my pinky toe (my 5th metatarsal) had twisted and snaped. I totally broke my foot standing still, I'm that cool. So Brandon called his mom to come help out for the rest of the week and went to his 10am appointment. (it was 9:40 at this point) By the time Grandma got there it was pretty obvious that Eric wasn't ok so we put him to bed and just hoped he could sleep it off. Well an hour later he woke up in tears and I knew we were in for another Doctor trip. So we loaded everyone in the car (Grandma can't drive) and headed to the office. They said he had an ear infection and RSV. He's oxygen were about 89 and they sent us home with a nebulizer and antibotics and we were to give him breathing treatments 3 times a day. There were moments were he seemed better and moments where we were packing or stuff to head to the er. Finally monday morning Brandon took him back to back into the Doctor and at this point his oxygen was down to 85 and so they put him on oxygen in the office then gave him a heavy duty breathing treatment and nothing seemed to help so lucikily Brandon had taken him and was able to talk them out of calling the abulance and he came and got us, dropped off the girls at Grandmas and we headed up to Primarys. We spent some quality time there (we got there about 12:30 Monday afternoon and came home last night at about 9:20) but he seems to be breathing a ton better. After a lot of test they told us he has bronchiolitas (sp)another type of respitory virus. He seems to be feeling better and I'm so grateful to be home. He also developed blisters on his lips and in his mouth and throat from his immune system being stressed out so it will be a few days before we are up and running (well I get my foot re-xrayed April 21 to see how its healing so maybe not running) but at least me are home and healing in comfort. We are so grateful for our friends and family who have helped us so much, and our fabulous daddy who cancelled appointments and took on everything by himself, and still made time to come visit us. We are so lucky, and blessed. That being said if you've ever thought of needing an attorney or have any friends who might need wills, trusts, bankruptcy or divorce get a free consult with Brandon cause I might end up back in the hospital from a heart attack when we get the bills from all our special attention :)
