The finer things in life

I wont lie I spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself lately, it's a horrible quality and makes you very grumpy. I don't recommend it unless you own stock in Hersheys. So as I read through other peoples lives and remember how fabulous my life is (my brain doens't play the pitty party game as well as my feelings) I just wanted to write them out to remember them.
-Having a brain. At least it ruins the pitty party so I don't want to have them.
-The cutest kids, ever
-Healthy kids
-Creative kids-there is never a dull moment at our house
-The I didn't do it face. How can you stay mad with it
-Tivo (it's sad I know but I love TV it makes my heart happy)
-Our new(ish) house that comes with fantastic neighbors. For the first time in years I actually know some of my neighbors. I am horible at meeting new people I get super intemidated but our new ward is full of rockstars and I love it.
-Not throwing up because I am pregnant. This is huge I think everyone who is pregnant should have this gift.
-Facial expressions. I love when my kids make faces that remind me of pictures of me or faces my brothers made. it's fun to take little trips down memory lane.
-Family. I have fantastic family (and friends that count as family) that let me vent, or let me live vicariously through them.
-Love. Having people to love and people who love me are essential in times like these.
-Don't laugh-Twilight. I know I have turned into to my mom and her Harry Potter craziness (I am not that bad) but it's fun to live life through books.
-And of course the gospel. What more do you need.

Erics Birthday

Yup, I am just posting this now cause I struggle.

But this is finally the day we could cut this darling boys hair. (oh happy day) I think he is so much cuter. I am very sad I didn't post on our birthday about how fabulous this little guy is but I am so grateful he is a part of our family. On a sadder note these are the only pictures from our birthday too ( oh how I struggle) But enjoy his cuteness :)

If you have talked to me ever it's no secert that I love American Idol and become crazy about certain contestants like Kelly (no worries I cried when she won) Clay (I love him... and have every episode he was on recorded!) I boycotted most of season 3 cause I was mad Carrie (who doesn't love Carrie) I really like Elliot, he isn't Clay but I own his CDs and I boycotted most of season 6 cause really Taylor Hicks, come on! Then the Davids who doesn't love the Davids and then season 8 I love Danny, don't get me wrong I really like Kris but I just think Danny is adorable and fabulous and I voted for him a lot so it's hard to let go. (He is coming in concert with Sugarland and I really want to go) But this season is making me sad. No one is good yet, thats a bad sign. So this is my plea before Brandon boycotts the show (yup he watches now cause I'm that addicted) PLEASE step it up guys, PLEASE. Thats all :)

Our love hate relationship with 2010

We ended 2009 on kind of a low and so we were all pretty excited to start off a new year. Well we have definitally got off on the wrong foot. January 1 everyone got the stomach flu and we didn't finish um cleaning out our systems until January 3. January 4 we found out we are having a baby (We have a baby and didn't have insurance so this was bad) January 5 Eric got his second case of strep January 6 the kids went back to school and we started applying for insurance. January kind of died off on adding new drama but I was still having a rough time dealing. Then we were having a fun February. With mine and Erics birthday we of course celebrated at Red Robbins and it was fabulous and then that friday Brandon and I got to have a fun Valentines date and we woke to a busy Saturday full of birthday parties and baby showers to find our house was crying (literally) the walls had condinsation dripping down all of them the ceiling was leaking from the vents and we started to have a heart attack. With the help of some fabulous friends we found the source (our hot water pipe had broke on our water heater and was spraying everywhere which got in to the vents and brought it to the attic where it made our house cry cause of the hot/coldness) Our home warrenty fixed the water heater and we have had our fantastic friends helping us fix the ceilings and mechanical room. Goodness it's been a week. I have decided that we are just trying to get the bumps out of the way so we can have some smooth sailing from here on out. School is going fabulous. I love it, all though I need to study harder in biology. I am super excited and hope that everything stays on track. Berkelee and Andrew are both doing fabulously in school and Erics ent appointment went well nothing looks good but it looked good enought to wait until 18 months and reevaluate cause no one wants to do surgery on a one year old if the can avoid it. And most likely if they do they will do a clean sweap (tubes in his ear, and remove his tonsils and adnoids) So I hope he can start feeling better or at least feel good enough to get through the next 6 months.

WOW!

I'm the worst blogger ever, and I should add picture taker to that list. Life has been crazy lately. Brandon is still working for himself (so if you need a will, or trust, or help with other legal stuff just let him know) and so we don't see to much of each other. I went back to school in January and I kind of love it. Hopefully when all is said and done I will be a nurse but we'll see :) Andrew is doing so well with reading and writing at school, we are super proud of him. Little Miss Berkelee is doing well with her letters a school too. She even tries to write her name. Eric is a tropper, he is still sick :( he has been on antibiotics since late November and can't kick his strep so on the 17 we head to the ENT to see if he should have his tonsils removed. (what a birthday present) Thats right in 5 days he will be one (and we can FINALLY cut his hair) Time has gone so quickly this year. I will try to get better and this blogging thing again but until then I sure love reading everyone elses :)

The Mystery of Eric

please excuse my picture of a picture. Since Eric was born we have been trying so hard to figure out who he looks like and the other day we figured it out. The old picture is baby Geoff mix in a little ( and mean barely) Brandon and the mystery has been solved. :) I think its awesome. Thanks Geoff for sharing your looks with our little man maybe he will get lucky enough to marry an Emily/Emmalee too :)
